6. PH Cylinder Head & Manifold: When airflow restriction has been removed from the engine (i.e. Sport Exhaust, Mass Flow Sensor), and greater airflow demands are put on the motor (K-27 Turbo), the next areas of improvement are the cylinder head and intake manifold. PowerHaus stocks fully prepared cylinder heads and intake manifolds: · PH Heads are slightly ported and fully polished to increase air flow, then surfaced and O-ringed to virtually eliminate head gasket failure (tested up 1.7 bar boost!) We also perform full valve jobs with new guides, custom springs, and additional machining to increase pre-boost power. · PH manifolds are extrude honed to increase the internal diameter of the runners and leave them smooth as glass, improving airflow an average of 18%. Lastly, the runners are port-matched to the PH Cylinder Head. Done together, these improvements average an additional 37 dyno proven horsepower, with huge gains in pre-boost power, overall drivability, and throttle response! |
