When the "Blue Car", our first 930, was purchased in 1985 in basically stock form, the ball started rolling. It has never stopped since! As is the case with most 930 owners, it wasn't long before the desire arose to have an even faster and higher capacity 930 than the Porsche factory provided. In 1986 the Blue Car became one of the first and few 930's in North America to have the full Ruf package.
A complete Ruf engine, 5 speed transmission, suspension and gauge package was flown in from Germany and installed here in Arizona. As nice a package as this was, it didn't take too long before the quest for more manifested once again!
As higher output components were purchased and installed, the existing equipment that was removed was sold and it quickly became clear there was a solid demand for such high performance 930 items. Thus, PowerHaus was born.
Our first formal year in business was in 1988, commencing in June. Constant growth and expansion have occurred ever since. We currently own three 930's, all with different engines, transmission and bodywork packages. We can thus demonstrate directly to our customers and to motorsports journalists the different items we have available. Currently our three cars have 3.3, 3.5 and 3.6 liter engines and have different types of turbochargers, intercoolers and ignition systems.
Our direct experience with 930's is extensive, having ourselves logged approximately 100,000 street, open road and racetrack miles. We have driven 930's on tracks across the country including Road America, Brainerd, Blackhawk, Road Atlanta, St. Louis International, Firebird, Phoenix International, Las Vegas International, Riverside, Willow Springs, and Laguna Seca. This has given us a well-founded understanding as to what our customers need to achieve in real world circumstances.
PowerHaus recently has generated a quantum leap in 930 technology via our T-3 engine. Our engineer, Ed Pink of Ed Pink Racing Engines, one of the most respected engine builders in the world and a man of vast experience in many forms of racing engines (including 962 Porsche technology), worked with the guidelines we established and created this highly advanced 930 engine.
With higher compression, titanium connecting rods and intake valves, computer flowed heads, separate throttle body per cylinder intake manifolds, and a myriad of other special components, the T-3 engine is a true race caliber engine, for the track or for the street. Its real crowning glory, however, lies in the PowerHaus/EFI Engine Management System, with its completely computerized ignition, injection and integrated boost function. This engine management system, coupled with the various items mentioned, produce a package so potent that in single turbo configuration the T-3 engine generates over 700 horsepower (704 @ 7000 rpm) and over 600 lbsft of torque (616 @ 4500 rpm) at 1.35 bar boost. Very fortunate are the few that will have this dynamo in their 930!! (These are real numbers based on realistic operating parameters. Whereas there is actually 750 horsepower available at higher rpm and boost levels, to promote engine longevity we chose to be a bit conservative!)

Besides our T-3 package, PowerHaus has a full range of OEM and high performance 930 components available. (Many items are direct applications of Porsche's 934, 935 and 962 racing programs.)
Further, we have many special items for the 930 series which we produce ourselves or have produced for us and which can be obtained only through PowerHaus. The PowerHaus product line is sold worldwide, including representatives in Japan, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Although we work exclusively with the 930 series (930, 911 Turbo, C-2 Turbo and 3.6 turbo) in terms of our own programs, we do have available on special order certain key high performance items for our 911 friends.
